helicopter view of DundasDundas Castle’s ancient Auld Keep is a staggering 600 years old this year and to mark the anniversary, the venue is gifting couples six free rooms for all weddings until March 2017 – great news for a growing guest list!

Just make sure you get your booking in by January 2017. “Dundas breathes romance and history,” says owner Sir Jack Stewart-Clark. “We have created this special gift as a way of helping our guests to enjoy this historic year with their family and friends.” The castle boasts 17 bedrooms individually styled by Sir Stewart-Clark’s wife, Lady Lydia, complete with luxe Penhaligon’s toiletries and complimentary whisky, but it’s the Keep which remains the most impressive and well-equipped for larger weddings.

Built in the 15th century, it can house a guest list of up to 110 in its Great Hall, under the original vaulted ceiling, or, if your party’s on the smaller side, head up to the rooftop to tie the knot, surrounded by 400 acres of countryside.
