We’ve barely made a dent in winter, but here at TTKS HQ we’re already looking ahead to the delights of spring. However, as much as we love the blooming flowers and lengthening days that the season brings, it’s the weddings we’re most excited about. Expect barn venues aplenty once again in 2020, with our money on the charming Cardney Steading for standout newcomer.

Located near Dunkeld, one of the farm’s traditional buildings has been transformed by the owners into a fantastic events space, with the venue being officially opened in June this year by singer-songwriter Dougie Maclean, one of Scotland’s most prolific musicians.

We reckon the Old Mill is the optimal space for a barnstorming ceilidh dance. Gay Gordon’s anyone?

“In order to make Cardney Estate a more sustainable business we decided to diversify and create a unique events venue by converting one of our traditional farm steadings,” said owner Lewis Cameron, who runs the venture with his wife Katriona.

“We have worked really hard to make this venue the best it can be, whilst keeping it rustic and true to itself. We are absolutely delighted with the response we’ve had so far. We would like to say thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way.”

Sounds like all their hard graft has paid off. Kudos!
