“We got engaged in August 2012 on a midnight cruise in the Costa del Sol. It was an amazing surprise! The first wedding planning decision we made was our church and reception venue.
For our reception we wanted a beautiful venue that would provide a stunning background for our photos, and Glenbervie House Hotel did just that. We loved the idea of having exclusive use of the venue. It was really special to be there with just our friends and family. Some of our guests stayed overnight with us at the venue and enjoyed breakfast the next morning. It was nice to wake up and see everyone the following day!
My sister is a graphic designer so we sat together and designed all of our stationery. She created exactly what we wanted from our invitations to our table plan and it all matched our theme perfectly. We also made our own table favours.
Elaine at Premier Wedding Photography captured our day perfectly, making full use of the venues. You would never know from our photographs that it rained for part of the day. We got some great shots on the driveway leading in to Glenbervie.
Another supplier that went above and beyond was our band, Ernest. They were amazing, taking song requests from our guests and even let my cousin play the keyboard and sing with them! Our guests were up dancing all night and still rave about how good they were.
Top tip: Hire a videographer. The day goes by so quickly and being able to watch it back is amazing. It was so nice to see our guests arriving at the venue and enjoying themselves throughout the day on our DVD. Memories we will cherish forever!”
