Weddings at Dalhousie Castle on the outskirts of Edinburgh are more than just a flight of fancy. Scotland’s oldest inhabited castle now offers unique in-house ring bearers – pure white snowy barn owls Bonnie or Belle – for civil ceremonies taking place in the castle’s own chapel. Swooping down from the Minstrel Gallery, one of the resident owls will fly the rings down the aisle to the waiting groom.
