The new pool is a luxe update for the Johnstone venue’s leisure club and AURA Spa and is inspired by the best of Scandinavian design
Couples have yet another reason to check out Bowfield Hotel & Country Club in Renfrewshire: it’s unveiled a new, ultra-stylish indoor 16-metre swimming pool in its leisure club following a three-month refurbishment. This is just the latest in a series of refurbishments which has seen owners the Manorview Group invest £4 million in the venue since 2012.
And, if the pool is anything to go by, it’s been worth every penny: the Scandi-inspired design features plenty of greenery and exposed brickwork to enhance the natural aesthetic, but the real star of the show is a mirrored LED ceiling which boosts the tranquil atmosphere. Lighting and colours can be adjusted to create different moods helping those taking a dip to unwind, perhaps after some busy wedding planning!
“The new pool area has been designed to encourage relaxation and ‘me-time’, confirms Peter Hyslop, the venue’s general manager. Come summer, the pool will benefit from direct access to a large decking area where guests can enjoy views of the surrounding countryside (and, hopefully, soak up some rays).
