Designer Caroline Gardner will be brightening up post all over the UK after being commissioned by the Royal Mail to have her drawing featured on its First Class stamps.
The picture, resembling a sweet three-tier wedding cake, is packed full of colour and personality and will be part of the Smilers 2015 First Day Cover Collection, which celebrates special occasions like weddings, birthdays and anniversaries.
Caroline says: “It’s thrilling to be part of Royal Mail’s new 2015 stamp collection! First Day Covers particularly are a huge thing amongst collectors, so I’m really proud to see one of my designs included. Over the years, our cards have helped millions of people celebrate special occasions, and to now have our own special stamp is truly the icing on the cake.”
