Dragonfly & ButterBee Vintage celebrates launch with a Parisian-inspired shoot

Dragonfly Dress Design has long cemented its status as the last word in retro-flavoured bridal, so it’s no wonder that owner Lisa Cochrane has teamed up with sister brand ButterBee’s Jade Cassidy to set up a new venture, Dragonfly & ButterBee Vintage.

“This has been a long time coming for us,” the duo admit. “As luck would have it, our next door neighbours were moving and our friend Frenchie was looking for a bigger space for her business, Neverland Nails. Now, here we are with our 1950’s shop and salon!”

Features writer Rosie and editorial assistant Nicola could barely contain themselves when they had a sneak peek at the launch earlier in the summer, cherry-picking dream alternative bridesmaid dresses, dramatic occasionwear in a plethora of fifties prints, sorbet-hued knits and cute accessories (hello gifts for your best girls!).

Now that Dragonfly & ButterBee Vintage is up and running with a fresh new logo, Lisa and Jade saw it as the perfect opportunity to take this chic lacy number from the new store (and the star of the logo) off its hanger and allow it its moment in the spotlight.

“The idea behind this shoot was to photograph the dress in the style of 1950’s Parisian fashion adverts,” they explain. “We think the team did a fantastic job of nailing the look! The dress can also be recreated in ivory for brides.”

Ooh la la!
