East Lothian’s Dunglass Estate shows off its slick renovations at recent wedding fair

The recently renovated Dunglass Estate welcomed couples for its first official wedding fair and open day since the completion of a substantial refurbishment which saw the events space and self-catering accommodation undergo a stylish overhaul

Many local suppliers were in attendance – including gowns from Sophia Grace Couture, pizzas from Wood Oven Wonders and caffeine fixes courtesy of Ride & Grind Coffee – to give couples a feel for how their own big day there could shape up. Attendees also enjoyed drinks and music on the lawns while taking in the panoramic sea views at the Cockburnspath venue.

Dunglass Estate offers a range of bespoke packages from intimate weddings (costing less than £10,000), to larger-scale options with capacity for up to 150 guests. It also boasts a private 15th-century Gothic church, all-inclusive Wedding Pavilion and Insta-worthy Stable Yard.

On-site accommodation means your loved ones can party to the max then stay over, while you and your new spouse bunk up in the Honeymoon Treehouse. (Psst…the outdoor hot tub will cure anyone feeling a little worse for wear and your only neighbours will be the resident alpacas. Bliss!)

The neutral colours of the Wedding Pavilion mean it is flexible enough to suit any wedding style. If it were up to us, however, we’d go for a luxe boho feel (demonstrated above) opting for a sun-bleached palette and using decor pieces sparingly, keeping the airy feel brought by the evening light spilling in through the plentiful windows.
