Here at Tie the Knot Scotland, we know that wedding planning can be a bit overwhelming at times. It can feel like there’s a million and one options out there, but the truth is that you can’t attend every open day (though we hate to put a cap on complimentary canapés). Wouldn’t it be great if you could streamline the planning process and sort the gems from the jokers?
That’s why we’re always on the lookout for new and exciting wedding events to tell our readers about. Fortunately it just so happens that there’s two this weekend for you and your #bridesquad to look forward to!
First up, Daisy Fay’s Wedding Fair, which launched in autumn last year with the aim of gathering alternative wedding suppliers for a relaxed afternoon. After the resounding success that was September’s event, it’s decided to come together again for round two.
Make tracks to The Stirling Arcade between 1pm and 4pm this Sunday, 17th February, where there’ll be live music, a fizz bar, an interactive fashion show, beauty demos, drinks, dancing and a whole lot of fun. The first 100 guests will even receive a goody bag filled with gifts.
Based a little further west? That doesn’t mean that you have to miss out. Pimp My Wedding Showcase is also happening this weekend and will connect you with some of the best suppliers in the biz. It can help you cover any number of bases, whether you’re looking for a dress, flowers, cakes, music, favours, photographers… The list goes on. We’re especially intrigued by the sound of the selfie magic mirror. The Showcase will be staking out Partick Burgh Hall on Sunday from 12pm-4pm.
It might also help to hear that both of these events are free entry. Just because your wedding can be expensive, doesn’t mean that planning has to be.
