Hold on to your headbands, brides-to-be, because this one’s pretty huge.

Galia Lahav – you know, purveyor of regal, trailing trains, epic embellishments and, oh, Beyoncé’s jaw-dropping 2018 vow renewal gown (no biggie) – has, much to our delight, launched a capsule collection of ready-to-wear dresses.

And the best part? They’re available online! For anyone who’s ever lusted after the Israeli design house’s all-round dramatic spectacles of bridal couture (currently exclusive to Edinburgh’s Kavelle Couture), the time has come to have one shipped to your very doorstep.

“Crafting luxury apparel for over three decades, Galia Lahav is recognised as one of the first designers to bring daringly low backs, gossamer fabrics, and seductive silhouettes into the bridal industry — and we’re thrilled to expand upon its heartfelt success,” says the brand’s Lynn Rozenberg. “Designed with careful consideration of fine fabrics, cut, and construction to enhance inherent beauty, this new collection comes as a natural next step for us.

“Recognising changes in brides’ lifestyles and needs, we were inspired to create a bridal shopping experience that’s as seamless, luxurious, and personalised as possible. We opened a hub in London and recruited unique creative talent to add a fresh perspective in developing the highest level of prêt-à-porter.

“From contemporary, tailored, and edgy designs with the same sensual tone of GL Couture to luxe fabrications like stretch crepe, satin, and jacquard, this curated assortment features detachable elements and surprising embellishments that hint at exciting further offerings coming from the brand.”

The quality of the ten-piece edit is off the scale: silhouettes are sharp, beading is precision-placed and fabrics fall effortlessly in graceful pleats. While it’s a certainly a different direction, a move away from the statement lace and diaphanous sleeves normally synonymous with the brand, the new, minimalist, clean aesthetic loses none of Galia Lahav’s usual impact.

Our top picks? Kaia (top), with its deep neckline and exposed back, has a quiet sexiness that calls for striking jewellery (a choker, such as Galia Lahav’s pearl option above, is perfect), while Ruby (above) boasts the puffed sleeves of dreams and the most flattering gathered neckline, complete with crystal trim.

Signed, sealed, delivered? They’re yours.
