Gallery of dreams – White Gallery London preview

Best Scottish Weddings magazine White Gallery preview London

Finally, the weekend of White Gallery London is nigh. It’s a key event in the bridal trade calendar where the industry’s most-coveted designers, from renowned international names to up-and-coming new talents, showcase their latest collections to salon buyers and press. I’m going to be at the event in Battersea on Sunday and Monday reveling in bridal bliss and sniffing out the most gorgeous dresses and accessories.

From the front row (or thereabouts), I’ll be taking in catwalk shows from Stewart Parvin, Alan Hannah, Ian Stuart, Stephanie Allin and Anoushka G before heading to the New Talents area where I hope to spy some of the rising stars of bridal design.

In between the catwalk shows, I’ll be meandering my way through the stands of 70 designers from Britain and abroad, some even with their own ‘mini catwalks’ where buyers and journalists will be treated to their own little group shows. Some of the most desirable accessory brands will be there too: from amazing shoes by Rachel Simpson and Harriet Wilde, through to couture headpieces by Louis Mariette.

There’ll be a special feature on White Gallery London in the Autumn issue, but I’ll be tweeting while I’m there this weekend, so keep your phones and tablets handy if you fancy a nosey at the niceties.
