If you’re one of the few not gripped by the grisly goings-on in Game of Thrones, what on earth have you been doing with your evenings? (Okay, chances are it involves bingeing on House of Cards or Breaking Bad box sets instead!)
Team BSW are glued to the fifth series – not just to find out who the sword’s going to fall on next, but to see what the show’s leading ladies are wearing. While billowing fantasy-cum-medieval creations don’t really feature in your average working wardrobe, this particular sartorial look lends itself perfectly to dressing for the biggest day of a girl’s life so far.
We’ve scoured the collections for wedding-dress inspiration based on the show’s female characters and lined up gowns that would make all of the seven kingdoms green with envy.
Classy and delicate, this embellished Jenny Packham creation would be perfect for the second-youngest Stark.
This ultra-glam backless gown from Sottero and Midgley would suit the fledgling queen down to a tee.
We couldn’t put ‘The Red Woman’ in anything other than a scarlet dress… and this stunner from Eliza Jane Howell is full of drama, just like the red priestess herself.
The Mother of Dragons has arguably the most impressive wardrobe in the series. Wearing lots of silver and blue tones and never shying away from daring cutouts, Daenerys is the Khaleesi of couture.
Sersei always looks flawless and is never seen without sleeves. Our pick for her is this beautiful gown by Claire Pettibone.
Brienne of Tarth
Tall and strong, Brienne doesn’t get the opportunity to show off her assets in the show as she’s normally off fighting and generally being a brave knight, but we think she could pull off a sharp jumpsuit with her grace and style.
Daenerys’ right-hand woman Missandei’s stolen moments with Greyworm are some of the sweetest scenes in GoT, and this dress would be perfect if the two ever manage to run off together!
Mold silk tulle gown with draped body and straps, POA, Cabotine.
