Make BLOW’s latest location the first stop on your home hen – or the place to escape when planning gets too much
Hen ‘activities’ can be hit or miss. Extra expense, more planning, and time that most attendees feel is a waste of perfectly good drinking time often has bridesmaids asking ‘do we really need to go to a pottery workshop?’. That’s why you need to drop a trip to BLOW City into the group chat.
Joining sister salons in Finnieston and Shawlands, the latest addition to the BLOW family is located on Queen Street, Glasgow (we’ll save you pondering: it used to be Osiris). On the ground floor, you’ll find styling stations, a hair extension area and a gin bar serving signature cocktails, mocktails and coffees (where a DJ was playing a smasher of a set when we visited).
Downstairs, new beauty and wellness space UNBRANDED will be offering everything from brow lamination to cupping, from brands including brow studio BrowJam, makeup masters Onyx and White Rabbit Healing.
If you decide to kick off your hen here, a little bit of pampering courtesy of the Celebrity Blowdry Menu is a must. Created in collaboration with celebrity hairstylist Jay Birmingham, it features six styles and is priced from £25. And yes, that is Helen Flannagan rocking some chic waves above.
BLOW founder and owner Fallon Carberry said of the launch: “We have the best crew working behind the scenes on our new-look space. And we are taking things up a notch! Moving the BLOW brand and concept forward to the next level for this exciting new phase of our journey. It’s amazing! We can’t wait to share it with you all.”
The salon is also available for early morning appointments, so if you’re counting down to a city-centre wedding and don’t fancy getting ready in a hotel room, then we might just have found you the coolest backdrop for those getting ready shots….
