Edinburgh and Dunfermline’s Kudos Bridal Boutiques rang in a big birthday on 7th December. “We have come a long way since starting the business in a tiny shop on Bruntsfield Place!” laughs founder Michelle Scott. “Now we are one of the best-known bridal boutiques in Scotland. We would like to thank all of our staff, old and new, our suppliers and all of the Kudos brides who have played a part in our amazing ten year history.” We predict many more anniversaries if the boutique continues to stock divine dresses, like Wendy Makin’s Gigi (below left, £1,499).

“November marks a decade since Ivory Whites first opened,” declares the Perth boutique’s owner Karyn McLeod. “We’ll be taking a look back through our ten years and running ten competitions – keep an eye on our Facebook page.” With experience also comes confidence, and there’s bags of that to be found in the fresh collections in stock at Ivory Whites. “We are now stocking Colet by Nicole Spose (above right, Allana, £1,795) along with sister label Jolies,” Karyn reports. “Our bridesmaids separates range from True Bride (below, from £210) has had fabulous feedback too.”

And keep the champagne on ice because Glasgow’s Eleganza Sposa also has an announcement. “We are thrilled to celebrate our 25th anniversary,” says owner Anna Cirignaco. “It all began when I was inspired by mesmerising gowns in southern Italy and saw a gap in the UK market for fashionable bridalwear. Since 1992, we’ve led the way in launching incredible designers in Scotland.” That’s for sure, as you can thank Eleganza for introducing extraordinary international names, like Savin London (below left, Amelia, from £2,500) and, lately, Noya by Riki Dalal (below right, Jasmine, from £2,500).

Congratulations everyone!
