Historic Environment Scotland launches summer menus for events at its castle venues

The company announces summer 2022 menus for private events within its heritage properties, Edinburgh and Stirling Castles

The latest menus at Historic Environment Scotland, created by catering partner Benugo, aim to showcase local and artisan luxury foods and promises to feature everything you need for a true Scottish banquet, including Orkney scallops, Blairgowrie lamb loin and raspberry cranachan. Alternatively, opt for a more laidback approach with the likes of  West Coast mussel and cockle chowder served with sour dough crostini and Stirlingshire foraged mushroom ragout served with rosti potatoes.

“Our venues are some of the most prestigious in Scotland and we’re thrilled to offer a menu that fully complements the iconic and historic surroundings for corporate or private events and weddings,” notes Suzanne Davies, Event Sales and Catering Manager at Historic Environment Scotland.

“There’s plenty of choice with the new food offerings and our experts will help you to design a menu especially for your occasion. Our offerings showcase the very best of local artisan produce which match the world-famous Scottish hospitality you can expect at Stirling Castle (pictured above) and Edinburgh Castle this summer.”

Both venues offer a range of spaces for you and your loved ones to dine, with Stirling Castle’s 16th century Great Hall able to cater to 300 guests and its Royal Palace the perfect place for a more intimate celebration of up to 60 people. Meanwhile, the Queen Anne Building at Edinburgh Castle is a majestic choice for a meal with up to 120 guests, and the venue’s Gatehouse Suite can host 24 of your friends and family for a cosy dinner.
