TV star and bridal designer Randy Fenoli must have quite the trophy cabinet. The bombastic Illinois-born celebrity of Say Yes to the Dress fame has racked up a seemingly endless series of awards, including two prestigious ‘Design Excellence in the Bridal Industry’ accolades and, significantly, the title of Miss Gay America, a 1990 competition whose winnings made his enrolment at New York’s storied Fashion Institute of Technology possible.
When Randy’s not polishing his prizes, or appearing on our screens, he’s presenting his latest lines at bridal shows in London, Barcelona and Amsterdam. And this is where Dalbeattie boutique Isobel Florence Bridal comes in. Owners Julie and King Wong were blown away by the gowns on display.
“We are so excited to be the first shop in Scotland to be stocking the new Silver Springs range by Randy Fenoli,” Julie reveals. “We absolutely adored meeting him at Bridal Event Amsterdam and couldn’t keep our hands off the elegant gowns on offer. His dresses are unlike anything else on the market right now and offer a fresh take on classic bridal silhouettes.”
Does Julie have a favourite? Actually, she has many. “Addison [second from top, £POA] has a chic embossed satin skirt that’s so unique and striking,” Julie notes.
“It really stands out from the crowd. Then there’s Autumn [third from top, £POA], a delicate beaded fit-and-flare gown with beautifully detailed floral appliqué lining its sweetheart neckline and romantic off-the-shoulder sleeves.
“We also love Ashton [above, £POA], a traditional princess-like ballgown with a semi-sheer fitted lace bodice that gives a fashionable twist on the fairytale look, and Aurora [top, £POA], a sleek and sexy gown, with an embellished keyhole back that will make anyone that wears it feel glamourous.”
It’s a yes from us.
