Ivory Grace launches in Aberdeen

Be still our beating hearts: there’s a new boutique on the scene – a northern star that has really caught our eye. Find Ivory Grace tucked away in Aberdeen’s west end, tempting brides with a curated line-up of high-end British designers such as Augusta Jones, Sassi Holford and Stephanie Allin.

“At first, we only stocked UK labels,” observes the store’s Kayleigh Brown. “But we’ve recently brought a bit of seductive Spanish style to the boutique in the form of Rosa Clara. We launched the label with a trunk show at the end of August.” The fragile flora and foliage-inspired illusion lace on Astrid (from £1,500) is precious. Charlotte Balbier, and her ongoing paean to bountiful blooms, the Bohemian Blush range, is also expected at the boutique soon and we are earmarking the aptly named Forever dress (£1,455) as a runaway success.

Kayleigh’s top pick from the boutique’s current collection, however, is a classic Augusta Jones number, staying true to the store’s British roots. “It has to be Marsha (£2,365),” she gushes. “It’s a strapless fishtail gown in a dramatic lace with a beautiful scalloped train. Marsha is extremely versatile and can be teamed with a lace jacket to create a bespoke look, whether the bride wants a cap, 3/4, or full-length sleeve, or a bateau neckline or keyhole back.”
