Expect beautiful jewellery and an exceptional ‘retail theatre’ experience at the Scottish designer’s brand new store in Fife

When designing the new St Andrews store, the sky was the limit for Orkney jeweller Sheila Fleet and designer and artist Marion Yorston. The space boasts a planetarium with a film depicting the birth of the universe and the earthly elements that inspire Sheila’s work, whilst on the ceiling, a dramatic constellation dome containing 900 twinkling LED lights give off a celestial glow. We’re starstruck already – and that’s even before we look at the jewellery.

“Shops and the high street have had a tough time in recent years, and even more so due to closures brought on by the pandemic,” comments Sheila Fleet’s Managing Director Martin Fleet. “This new shop is not just a jewellery gallery, but a ‘retail theatre’. We hope visitors to St Andrews enjoy the experience, which presents our jewellery beautifully.”

Even in this dramatic new space, Sheila’s jewellery stands out. Every piece is designed and made in Orkney and the renowned designer is one of the few jewellers authorised to work with 18ct Scottish gold from the Cononish gold mine. With collections inspired by bumblebees, starfish and (almost) everything in between, Sheila’s work makes you want to get out there and explore what Scotland has to offer – and sparkle while you’re at it.
