Outfits to perfectly suit each season were paraded on the catwalk at The Scottish Wedding Show so that mothers of the bride and groom could envision a look that would work no matter the weather

There is no better place to get a feel for what will be hot next season than a catwalk show. The latest styles for mother of the bride/groom were paraded at the most recent Scottish Wedding Show and it’s safe to say mamas will be spoiled for choice this coming SS23. Joyce Young Design Studios’ new collection really caught our eye. No matter the season, the Glasgow-based atelier has an ensemble that would be the dreamiest match.
For spring, the dusky blue silk dress and top will keep the chill at bay with its column silhouette and long sleeves. Putting a contemporary twist on the traditional dress-and-jacket combo, the designer added a silk organza coat to a sparkly dress to keep things glamorous as the mercury rises.

For autumn, she muted her colour palettes while cropping the jacket, keeping the look sleek and polished. “Lastly, our winter look features a velvet coat – testament to our recent love for this plush fabric,” Joyce says. “Not only is velvet easy to layer, it’s perfect to take you from day to night with elegance.” Follow the designer’s lead and pair all your outfits with statement headpieces to really up the ante.
The atelier also welcomes their new velvet Casual Chic collection for a more casual wedding look: this offers mums ultimate wearability while remaining chic. The velvet collection is available to buy online and each outfit can be purchased in eight easy-to-style shades including chocolate, hunter green, scarlet and aubergine.
