When new dresses land at Joyce Young Design Studios, it’s fair to say we get pretty excited. A carefully curated selection of designer gowns line up alongside Scottish designer extraordinaire Joyce’s own meticulously constructed creations in the 2018/19 collection, as she outlines: “The new styles are soft and flowing in luxurious georgette, tulle, satin and lace. Some have intricate beading [see: Sassy, above right, £POA], while some are ultra feminine, enhancing the figure with flattering necklines [like Alina, above left, £POA]. The range provides lots of choice and flexibility too. Mix-and-match bodices and skirts can be put together in many different ways to design your own dress.”
There’s also a fit-to-burst range of new season occasionwear for mother dearest to browse through – think sophisticated, subtle pieces in muted pastels and neutrals – so there’s even more reason for her to tag along with you on a shopping trip to Joyce’s impressively kitted out Maryhill digs. Two birds, one stone.
