And with its super-pretty packaging and versatile nude colours, the limited-edition range has ‘wedding makeup’ written all over it

Elie Saab has been dressing the A-list for years. Celebs like Angelia Jolie and Lily James have donned his unmistakably glamorous, haute-couture gowns on the red carpet, while his exquisite wedding dresses have been worn by brides from Rose Leslie (aka Ygritte from Game of Thrones) to jet-set European aristocracy.
Then there’s L’Oréal Paris’ Global Makeup Director, Val Garland. She is also a contributing beauty editor to VOGUE and a judge on BBC Three TV series, Glow Up.
Safe to say that when two creative titans like this knock heads together, magic is going to happen… This time, it’s in the form of – yup, you guessed it – a flattering new makeup range.
L’Oréal Paris X ELIE SAAB’s ‘The Power of Grace’ collection comprises an eyeshadow palette enclosed in a luxe leather-and-gold case (£15.99); four satin-shine Color Riche lipsticks (£9.99); three lustrous, nude-toned lip glosses (£10.99); and a feather-soft, lash-plumping mascara (£12.99).

“The inspiration behind the makeup line is the same feminine, graceful, elegant woman who inspires my other designs,” says Elie Saab himself. “Makeup is the simplest way to weave beauty into the everyday.
“My aim was to create a universal collection to suit every skin tone and occasion, so I chose soft, warm colours in an assortment of textures for the palette, from shimmery to matte, in order to elegantly enhance without detracting from a woman’s natural beauty.”
“I’m always in awe of the craftsmanship in Elie Saab’s couture designs; the exquisite hand-sewn embroideries and embellishments and his signature fantasy creations that we all anticipate seeing every Paris Fashion Week,” says Val Garland.
“I wanted to translate his vision with makeup, by incorporating subtle shimmer finishes in the gloss and dazzling glitters in the eye shadows to truly reflect his designs.”

‘The Power of Grace’ range has ‘bride’ stamped all over it, with its co-creators both saying its largely nude theme is about letting natural beauty shine through – the launch campaign even features supermodel Cindy Bruna looking very wedding-ready in a haute couture Elie Saab gown.
The cosmetic brand has also released ‘blushing’ and ‘glowing’ bride looks created using products from the range, so it’s safe to say it has set its sights on the aisle!
L’Oréal Paris X ELIE SAAB ‘The Power of Grace’ collection is available now, but be quick, makeup lovers, because it’s limited edition.
