The dazzling Mount Stuart on the Isle of Bute has been awarded ‘Best Wedding Venue Runner-up’ in the national Hudson’s Heritage Awards 2011. The judges commended the venue – where Stella McCartney married in 2003 – “for going the extra mile to ensure all clients receive the highest level of service.” Its majestic Marble Hall [right] is one of the most jaw-dropping settings for a wedding ceremony in the country.
