The strapless Flora gown (above and below, £POA) surely counts as the latter: although its sweetheart neckline and strapless silhouette is undoubtedly a classic, it’s constructed from metres of more unusual, multi-coloured botanical lace, pooling delicately into a small train.
“This season, my mantra is less is more,” Wendy explains. “Utilising soft, floating fabrics, beautiful laces and exquisite textures, this collection is the definition of today’s modern bride. It’s largely unstructured and, most importantly, easy to wear. My signature aesthetic is simple elegance, and, since I started my label in 1993, I employ only the best materials I can get my hands on to achieve a timeless look and feel. I love working closely with my brides and this, I believe, is what keeps my gowns fresh.”
