Parry on with The Bridal Courtyard

Harrogate Bridal Show, one of the most important trade events in the calendar, was a resounding success for Glasgow’s The Bridal Courtyard – after a hectic weekend browsing 2020 trends, the store bagged itself a brand-new designer!

“We’re thrilled to be adding Catherine Parry to our rails,” owner Jennifer Gilbert shares. “We’ve lusted after the gowns in the past and the latest range was so outstanding, it was – quite frankly – impossible to say no. The label’s designer Maria Ryan is so helpful and open to customisation where possible, which is such a bonus for our brides.”

Every style is breathtaking, but it’s Meredith, above, £1,450, we can’t help falling for. Its racer neckline, paired with romantic 3D lace, makes for an utterly unique bodice.

Strapped for cash? Listen up. “We have also added to our Phoenix Gowns and Sweetheart ranges in store, which gives brides on a more modest budget even greater choice for their wedding day,” Jennifer assures. Our money’s on Sweetheart’s style 11047, below, £999. The circular-cut, chiffon A-line skirt is so fluid and feminine, while the detailed lace bodice has enough of a hint of bohemian spirit to keep us happy – pair with flowing waves, a floral crown and artful layers of fine gold, geometric jewellery.
