PHOTO ALBUM: Scottish landscapes that will give you goosebumps

Blue Sky Photography

We’re all guilty of taking things for granted. When planning a wedding this might come in the form of presuming your bridesmaids shouldn’t object to a weekend helping you make origami name tags, or thinking that makeup artist you’ve been obsessed with on Instagram won’t be booked up for your 2019 date. It’s all too easy to become complacent with Scotland’s scenery until you jet off abroad and the locals wax lyrical about our heather-sprinkled hills, lochs or implausibly green countryside.

One aspect of your big day you probably won’t take for granted is the weather. And neither will your photographer. As these photos show, that much-coveted clear blue sky isn’t essential for capturing the country’s landscape in all its glory. You might even find that a dark and moody climate creates an atmosphere that is even more breathtaking than the more obvious sun-drenched equivalent. Get ready: there’s a swell of patriotism coming in three, two, one…
