The occasionwear styles, in a chic palette of black, white and splashes of red, were inspired by 1950’s Italian high fashion. We could totally see Sophia Loren rocking this stunning polka dot slit-thigh gown with rose-print train!
The iconic fit of the era is all part of the made-to-measure service, with managing director Anna Cirignaco commenting: “Everything is bespoke and tailored to fit your figure. It’s all part of our service.” Unlike lots of high fashion styles, you don’t need to be a size 8 and 5″10 to look good in the gowns and outfits, in fact the figure-flattering styles deserve some shapely curves.
Although the gowns more than spoke for themselves, they were styled to perfection with jewellery by Euan McWhirter, and headpieces by William Chambers Millinery. Anna commented that she’d been discussing a collaboration with the mega-talented Glasgow-based milliner for years, so the headpieces and hats have been a long mooted project between the two brands. “The pieces are true to William’s signature designs, but with an Eleganza flair,” notes Anna.
The new Eleganza Collezioni styles are available to try in the boutique now, alongside the headpieces and hats (which are exclusive to the Eleganza Sposa boutique). Contact Eleganza Sposa on 0141 248 3200 to book a Collezioni consultation.
