Keeping things local was important to Rebecca Wallace and Steven Low when they were planning their winter wedding. “We live and work in East Lothian, as do most of our friends and family, so we didn’t want them to travel far to celebrate with us,” explains Rebecca. The couple – who met while both working at Dunbar Leisure Centre – invited 75 guests to join them at Dunbar Parish Church to witness them becoming husband and wife then a further 50 to the evening do at Craigielaw Golf Club. “The staff there were superb. They really went above and beyond to make our day perfect,” Rebecca recalls.
Rebecca and Steven previously spent two months tailing the Scottish rugby team around New Zealand in a VW camper van, so the iconic vehicle became a bit of a theme for their big day: Ecosse Classic Cars provided the wheels, Yes Cakes baked a VW-themed cake and the bride’s talented grandad sketched super-cool invites!
Grahame Smith of GWS Photography photographed the day. “Grahame had done a few of my friends’ weddings and I’d admired his work for a long time. I am over the moon with our images,” beams Rebecca.
