The co-owners’ plans to restore the Perthshire venue just got personal – after a unique proposal, they’ll be marrying at the castle themselves!
Carrie Bradshaw may have used her oven to store her enviable collection of clothes, but Rob Beaton, co-owner of Culdees Castle went one better. While being filmed for an upcoming Channel 4 documentary about the restoration project, his partner Tracey Horton got a surprise when she found a ring box in one of the castle ovens! To borrow a line from Ms. Bradshaw: and just like that, they were engaged!
Tracey and Rob will be pushing ahead with renovations of the chapel at the Crieff venue to help get it ready in time for their own nuptials. The estate is a popular glamping spot, and the first phases of the renovation have been a massive success, with a glass-roofed courtyard now the perfect spot for couples to tie the knot and impressive progress made on specialist bar areas, including a whisky bar, a champagne bar and a craft beer bar. With their wealth of wedding knowledge, we just know their big day is going to be a dream. Congratulations!
