After the strangest summer in living memory, is it any wonder we’re all kind of wishing for autumn now? The prospect of pumpkin-spiced lattes, crunchy leaves and Halloween-on-a-Saturday sounds like heaven, as does the fresh wave of weddings finally set to happen, after being postponed from earlier in the year. But what to wear if you’re one of those brides? How to adjust to the change in the season?

“It looks like there will be a lot of autumn and winter nuptials this year, and outerwear will likely become the unexpected protagonist,” notes Yolanda Morea at Barcelona-based design house Rosa Clará. “We’re very aware that many have had to postpone their ceremonies because of Covid-19, so, for the first time in our 25 year history, we’re unveiling a capsule collection of bridal capes, coats and jackets as a complement to the main collection.”

It’s the ideal solution: you’ll still get to rock the strappy, summery gown you were always meant to, but with a cosy, weather-appropriate add-on. And Rosa Clará’s new options are completely divine. Between trailing crepe georgette capes, lace and soft tulle coats, and mesh and mikado jackets, you’re spoilt, really. It sure beats that pashmina your mum is trying to convince you to wear…
