Your stationery sets the tone for your day, so get up to speed with the coolest design trends as picked by Scotland’s best stationers. From bold typography to luxurious vellum touches, there’s a style for every couple – take note!
Colour blocking
“Couples are eschewing traditional options and getting brave with colour,” says Stock Stationery’s Hannah Fleetwood. “It’s your day, so why not have your stationery make an impact with a striking palette?” We couldn’t agree more, Hannah.
Eco-friendly
“All of our paper types are FSC certified and we recently launched a stunning paper made from 80% recycled fibres. Supporting sustainable forestry in their stationery gives couples the peace of mind that they are doing their bit to minimise the environmental impact of their wedding,” argues Sarah Bowman from Atelier Rosemood.
Different designs for day and night
“At the moment, day and night designs are a firm favourite,” shares Kate Pearson of Glass Bulldog. “Something as simple as a colour change is enough to distinguish between day and night.”
Bold typography
“Swirly text and hand lettering are slowly becoming things of the past, with couples opting for confident, bold typography for their stationery,” notes Hannah Fleetwood. “The right font can say so much about you and your day.”
Vellum
“Vellum allows for layering of different elements, including text, photos and illustrations. It’s a luxury addition that plays on translucency to give the stationery a delightfully delicate and ethereal appearance,” enthuses Sarah of Atelier Rosemood.
Vow Books
“Vow books are extremely popular at the moment! For more intimate weddings, couples are keen to include personal and meaningful touches like these,’ says Daria of Wedding Artwork by Daria.
