This styled photoshoot, organised by wedding planner Revelry Events, has a ’60s edge in homage to Glasgow’s famous Finnieston Crane that was decommissioned in 1969. It delightfully combines sugary pink and crochet accents with modern flower arrangements and place settings at The North Rotunda
When Revelry Events was brainstorming this collaboration with local Glasgow suppliers, being kind to the environment was key, as Susie Dale at the wedding planning and styling company explains: “Showing how you can style a wedding with a mix of old and new and still make it look cohesive was really important to us. Hiring or using vintage pieces you’ll re-purpose in your own home, or sell on afterwards, are great ways to be kinder to the planet on your wedding day.
“Sustainability was one of the many reasons we were keen to work with Frill Factory, which produced the backdrop and tulle lampshades (or ‘jellyfish’ as they became known on the day!) from textiles that’d ordinarily be destined for landfill.”
