French photographer Alia Païenda captured a free-spirited, bohemian elopement in Glen Coe with rich and romantic flowers and bride wearing unusual embroidered lace wedding gown
If you haven’t yet headed for the hills to get married after the past 12 months, then this spectacular styled wedding photoshoot might just tempt you…
“I wanted to stage a wild picnic in the midst of the Highlands, an inspiration to elope in the magical mountains of Scotland,” says Alia Païenda, who conceived and photographed the shoot. “The idea of a poetic and boho adventurous elopement was the driving force of the whole look.”
Searching for a gown that combined “wild with a fashion twist”, Alia turned to Cardiff-based e&w couture, a company that has alternative and ethical wedding dresses nailed. Its ‘Indie’ dress is the epitome of modern, bohemian bridal style with its loose sleeves and plunging, embroidered bodice.
Highlands florist Bothy Blooms provided the burnished flowers including an unstructured bouquet and crown bursting with dahlias and roses and cute arrangements in gold teapots and terrariums.
“Fort William-based hair and makeup artist, Bonny Watkins of Bonnys Wonderland, highlighted model Rebecca’s beauty in the best way: thick eyebrows; wild hair; bold wine-coloured lips to match the dahlias; and fresh, glowy skin.”
