The first Victoria’s Secret store in Scotland opens today

Glasgow’s Buchanan Galleries was chosen as the brand’s new home north of the border – don’t miss the amazing launch offers

The British high street has lost some big names in lingerie over the last few years – remember La Senza? – so shopping for underwear has fallen to department stores for quality, or more ‘adult’ retailers for something really sexy. Get ready to get your knickers in a twist – Victoria’s Secret has opened its first Scottish outlet in the heart of Glasgow city centre.

The cavernous store, which was the former H&M in Buchanan Galleries, is absolutely packed with every type of bra you could ever need, from comfortable and practical to all-out seductive. There’s also a pretty bridal collection with ivory lace sets, sheer babydolls and a satin bride kimono. The brand’s PINK collection, activewear and beauty lines are also available.

Research by Victoria’s Secret found that 80% of women wear the wrong bra size, so be sure to enlist one of the store’s trained Bra Fit Experts to measure you up. This will also guarantee you buy the right size as the range includes a triple D, which is equivalent to a UK F. We had a quick tutorial on how your bra should fit and made a mental note to bin most of ours when we got home…

Love a bargain? To celebrate the launch, all bras are priced at £20 (we spotted one at £109 that was included), and all pants (or should we say panties?) are just £5. Availability is limited so get yourselves down there ASAP!
