Edinburgh’s grooms have benefitted from one of Scotland’s leading names in tailoring being on their doorstep for over 25 years, but hold tight Glasgow, because Walker Slater has just cut the ribbon on a new store in the Merchant City.
The store opened at the end of July, with the menswear outfitters offering bespoke suits made with exquisite hand-picked fabrics – tweed being a particular speciality – for the first time in Glasgow. The Brunswick Street boutique will need a reinforced mantlepiece to support the array of awards the brand has clinched, including Scottish Retailer of the Year 2015, Scottish Online Retailer of theYear 2016 and Scottish Wedding Designer of the Year 2017.
Manager Kean Martin told us: “Walker Slater is delighted to bring its ready-to-wear collection in contemporary tweed to the stylish ladies and gents of Glasgow. We will be offering off-the-peg suiting and made-to-measure tailoring perfect for all occasions. Our ethos is to use natural fibres and work with ethical artisan factories in UK and Europe.”
Walker Slater is located on 114 Brunswick Street, Glasgow
