Twinkle Twinkle Tiaras take to the floor on Strictly Come Dancing

Norah headpiece, £185

We’re fast approaching the finishing line on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing, but it’s not just the fancy footwork that’s kept us glued to the screen. We’ve had our eyes peeled for Scottish accessory brand Twinkle Twinkle Tiaras’ headpieces, which have been created specially for the current series.

The Strictly Sparkle collection was launched earlier this year by designer Kirsteen Connell, and the glitzy styles have already been worn by Laura Whitmore and Anastacia.

Kirsteen, who runs Twinkle Twinkle Tiaras and online accessory boutique Bella Brilla, used to be a competitive dancer so she has a unique insight into the intricate fit required by pieces worn when dancing.

It’s one thing walking down the aisle without your browband slipping, but the new collection is built to survive a snappy quickstep and celebratory bow!

Twinkle Twinkle Tiara’s roots lie in vintage-inspired pieces, but more recent ranges fuse Art Deco-styling with a modern edge. As well as a contemporary spin, the newbies have stand-out that are sure to impress the judges, sorry, guests.

Kirsteen says: “Having the pieces feature on Strictly is fantastic; the show is a real piece of showbiz history and loved by people of all ages. This latest collection really showcases this ethos, with the sparkle being perfect for anyone from a bride to someone wearing show costume.”

There’s no better finishing touch for taking to the floor for your first dance, but we’d suggest sticking to a wedding gown – we don’t reckon the Strictly gals’ neon two pieces will look quite as becoming!
