The wedding experience isn’t just about the big day itself. It’s also about the pampering that surrounds it, and taking time to spoil ourselves with the little add-ons that make us feel oh-so-special.
For this reason, we love it when venues are able to offer guests something extra when it comes to leisure facilities, and Renfrewshire’s Bowfield Hotel & Country Club has just seriously upped its game with the addition of a new hydrotherapy spa.
The spa is due to open in a couple of weeks, on 15th April. It won’t be just your run-of-the-mill hot tub, however, as this spa will be covered by a solid oak pavilion, and a stunning Italian chandelier will hang from the overhead canopy. You’ll be able to fit nine people inside the mosaic-tiled bath, which will offer breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. We quite like the idea of taking it all in while enjoying a glass of fizz.
If you visit the hotel’s AURA Spa, you’ll also be able to indulge in a range of massages and facials, amongst others – why not get yourself w-day ready with an Ishga seaweed body wrap, meant to boost energy and improve skin tone? Guys can also get involved, as AURA offers a variety of treatments aimed at men, like the Be Cocooned Experience, a warming body wrap featuring a salt and oil body scrub followed by a scalp and foot massage. A spa treatment a day keeps the toxic masculinity at bay, boys.
The leisure facilities at Bowfield also include a state-of-the-art gym and a swimming pool, so you can at least tell yourself that you’re going to use this as a chance to work out – but we won’t tell on you if you find yourself just moving between the spa and the sauna.
The addition of the hydrotherapy spa follows a wider refurbishment throughout the hotel: the function suites were recently treated to a makeover, and scores of couples have booked the venue after being wowed by its rustic vibes, with painted brickwork and solid wooden rafters.
All of this sounds positively delightful to us, so grab your bathrobes and take a dip.
