No-one can claim that Roxburghshire gem Ednam House Hotel hasn’t thought of everything. “We’ve developed a ‘maids in waiting’ area, which is a small reception room, just off the main ballroom,” reports general manager Bill Kilday. “Here, the bride can compose herself prior to the ceremony, or have a moment with her father or bridesmaids. Although small, it accommodates up to six, with a sofa, mirror, tissues and so on – all that a girl needs before one of her greatest moments! It has been well-received by guests, especially those not staying on site the night before.”
