Being a bridal buyer is a role we definitely don’t envy (can you imagine how impossible it would be to decide between all those incredible gowns?), but sometimes the stars just align, ever so nicely.
“There’s a dress named after me,” laughs Amy at Amy King Bridal and Beauty. “Well, sort of. As soon as I laid eyes on this Rebecca Ingram gown, and noticed it was called ‘Amy’ [above, £POA], I thought… it would be rude not to! Luckily, the gown is gorgeous, with divine shimmering lace, a crepe skirt and lace train.”
If you fancy giving it a try, now’s the perfect time – Amy’s store had a mini-makeover at the start of the year, so there’s even more space for gowns and accessories.
Speaking of which, Amy has taken on local millinery supremo Kate Dillon Designs, who’ll soon be making an appearance at the Kirkcaldy boutique in the next couple of months, as the store is cooking up an exclusive, one-off, mother of the bride/groom event (we’ll be glued to the socials for the announcement), featuring exquisite styles from London-based bridal brand Eliza Jane Howell‘s sister label Gill Harvey (like the shimmy-ready 3044 above, pictured in the flattering London Fog colourway).
Kate will be supplying her masterful headpieces and there’ll also be a stylist on hand to advise. This is not one to miss.
