Whistles’ wedding collection pop-up to hit Edinburgh next week

Isla tiered dress, £649

The high street’s foray into the bridal market definitely has its upsides. The collections are affordable, as well as tapping into your favourite brand’s aesthetic in a way that a ballgown might not.

We are always quick to point out, however, that the dress shopping experience gets a little lost outwith specialist bridal retailers. Good news – from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th March, Whistles’ Edinburgh store will be hosting a one-off trunk show with all the bells and err…whistles you might expect from a boutique.

Book a private hour-long appointment with a personal stylist and enjoy champagne and refreshments in a dedicated space in the George Street store. On the rails will be the entire wedding collection – ten styles including one jumpsuit that’s got mega-Riviera elopement vibes – plus four bridesmaid gowns available in three colourways.

The contemporary range is crafted from luxurious silk, embroidered tulle and organza jacquard, and taps into trend-led details like scalloped edges, modern ruffles and cut-away backs. If you like the sound of that, start thinking about the wiggle room in your shoe budget as all bridal styles cost between £499-£699.

Appointments can be made in store or customers can send an email detailing all requirements to personalshopping@whistles.co.uk.
