A fabulous wedding look is easy with Hair At Your Venue’s converted 7.5-tonne truck

Sometimes a supplier spots a gap in the market and we wonder how on earth we lived without its genius idea before. This was certainly the case when we heard about the likes of Claire Graham, who had her eureka moment whilst working at stellar wedding locales such as Dundas Castle and Macdonald Inchyra Hotel.

“During my time as a housekeeping manager, I repeatedly heard from brides how inconvenient it was for them to get ready at a salon far away from their venue,” Claire explains. “So I looked into ways I could bring complete salon services to them – wash, cut, hair and makeup.”

Her solution? She decided to train as a hairdresser part-time, and set about transforming a 7.5-tonne truck into a mobile beauty parlour, with the help of Business Gateway Scotland. Thus her brainchild Hair At Your Venue was born, and now Claire travels the country to banish bad hair days and bring about good w-day vibes.

“It feels amazing to see my dream now becoming a reality,” the entrepreneur smiles. “Renovating the truck has been a great experience, and I am looking forward to meeting the brides and making their dream day as pampered, relaxed and stress-free as possible for them, their bridal party and their guests.”

We also wanted to take advantage of her expertise as a stylist, so we asked Claire to let us in on some top tips to keep our hair looking its very best in the warmer weather – even if we aren’t currently having any. “My must-have summer product is Paul Mitchell’s Gloss Drops, which helps hair resist humidity and fight frizz,” she shares. “Applied on dry locks, it gives a silky-smooth finish.”

Claire can travel to any location with suitable parking, and she has availability for 2019 and 2020. For more information, contact Claire on 07518 609421 or take a look at her Facebook page.
