What a wedding under Covid-19 restrictions may lack in terms of guest numbers, it certainly makes up for in intimate charm and intricate detail. Vicki Woods of wedding photography and film company Willow & Wilde wants to reassure couples who are in the midst of turbulent and uncertain times that their dream day can still be realised.
“The shoot came about to inspire couples who have sadly been affected by the current Covid-19 restrictions. As numbers are being reduced we wanted to show how venues can transform their spaces into beautifully styled, intimate settings.
“We hope the shoot gives couples impetus to be creative with their small plans and to spend that little extra on the finer details, supporting their local wedding industry at a time when they need it the most. We also hope that it gives them the determination to keep on going and look to the future with hope.”
Arranged by Willow & Wilde’s new project, Styled by Willow & Wilde, the amber and red floral displays and bouquet from To A Mountain Daisy against the opulent gold crockery from WhiteHouse Crockery add warmth and glamour to this intimate shoot. It also gave the Willow & Wilde team a chance to get to know local suppliers in their new home, Dumfries and Galloway. “We moved to area in the summer, so it was great to get to know some of the creatives in the area. The venue, Auchen Castle, is stunning and is undergoing lots of new and exciting plans, so we are very much excited to see these unfold over the coming months and be a part of this wonderful team of people who make weddings here magical.”
