This year, Toronto will join the itinerary alongside the popular New York City service taking place in September and October
Is there a man in your life who is looking to champion his Scottish heritage across The Pond? Grooms’ style specialist MacGregor and MacDuff is bringing back its international kilt-fitting services in Toronto alongside the sell-out slots hosted in the Big Apple. With over 4,000 tartans to choose from, grooms near and far will find exactly what they’re after to make their attire dreams a reality.
The brand has also recently partnered with The Scotch Malt Whisky Society (where these images were captured) to create a unique experience for grooms: those who visit the Bath Street store in Glasgow will receive an invitation to the private members’ lounge across the road. We’ll drink to that!
The store’s ‘Choose Any Tartan Kilt Hire’ services is a delight for chaps due to tie the knot: it gives grooms and their party the freedom to wear and match in whatever tartan they desire. Gone are the days of being restricted – now you can have everyone clad in your clan colours or mix and match if picking one is too tough a choice.
Once the hard part is over and a tartan has been selected, a 7-yard kilt will be specifically made for you with your measurements: this means that although this is a hire, the kilt will be brand new and created specifically for you or your groom’s party.
With the kilt, you can choose to wear a Prince Charlie, Argyll, or one of MacGregor and MacDuff’s tweed kilt jackets and waistcoats, which are all included options in this hire package.
Accessories are also included: look the part for the big day with a sporran, replica sgian dubh, brogues and socks, meaning all the hassle is taken out of completing your look.
