Billy Connolly and Lewis Capaldi aside, tartan and whisky are what Scotland is famed for, so when we heard that two leaders in those fields – groomswear haven MacGregor and MacDuff and Islay Mist Blended Scotch Whisky – were collaborating on whisky miniature wedding favours, we knew the results would be worth toasting.
The labels on these dinky bottles feature the kilt company’s exclusive Islay Mist tartan that can be printed with the couple’s names and wedding date, while the amber nectar inside combines the isle’s iconic smoky tones with mellow, oaky maltiness. The collaboration between the two companies first began last year: customers who hired or purchased an Islay Mist kilt from any of the groomswear stores (in Glasgow City Centre, Glasgow West End and Prestwick) would be gifted an Islay Mist miniature in their sporran to celebrate their big day.
