Don’t you just love when a boutique makes space for new stock? Not only are we treated to fresh frocks (yes please!), but it means a sample sale isn’t far behind. We sense a bargain brewing at Pamela Fraser Designs, where gowns, such as the curvaceous Alexis (below), once £900, now £500, will be reduced left, right, and centre on Saturday 14th September, when the Angus designer will also slice 10% off the rest of her line.

Fast forward a month later, and Pamela Fraser is hosting a second event on 19th October, whereby you can meet Pamela in person at her studio. On an appointment basis, she’ll talk you through the process of having your gown made bespoke, and offer you 10% discount on the day too.

And there’s yet another project in the works too: “Ever fancied making your own wedding gown, or bridesmaids’ dresses, but never found a pattern you liked or nailed the perfect fit?” asks Pamela. “I can create a pattern and make a toile to fit, then you can take over, under supervision, at my new sewing classes. You could even re-style your mother’s dress, or a vintage gown with sentimental value, within the class.”

Food for thought.
