New year, new venue decor trends to inspire you in 2024

We round up the stylish trends that wedding-decor experts expect to see in the year to come, from maximalist to multi-purpose

From velvets to tassels, reds to mustards, Mallen has been creating fun-filled, retro decor schemes that might even have a few disco balls thrown in for good measure. Right: (photo: fdyoungphotography.com) Finding herself stepping back in time again, Emma of Duchess Seerra has been filtering the soft pastel hues of the 1940s-’50s, from table linens through to flowers. “These tones really add a romantic, whimsical touch,” she notes.

Above: Get Knotted’s Katie has another eco-conscious example: living centrepieces. She believes that potted plants or flowers can really liven up table decor. Here she’s opted to complement the greenery with an assortment of candles and an eye-catching geometric terrarium planter.

Here, dried flowers are a win-win. Not only do they perfectly accompany a wide variety of colour schemes, they’ll continue to look good for years to come – making them a long-lasting keepsake. Katie says: “Quirky or personalised food or drink stations like this will endure in popularity.”

She says: “Using scented herbs, for instance, will provide a calming, inviting atmosphere for your guests.”
