We were delighted to join in the quarter-of-a-century celebrations at Anne Priscilla Bridal in Glasgow last month. Not content with just champagne and cupcakes – although we are happy to report both were in attendance – they hosted a spectacular retrospective catwalk showcasing designs from the past 25 years.
Drawing from the design archives of noted designers such as Jenny Packham, Enzoani, Alan Hannah and Sassi Holford, all designs had graced the rails at Anne Priscilla over the years and while there was no denying the decade certain dresses were from (eighties puffy sleeves!), it also showed the timeless elegance of bridal fashion, with some styles looking as if they’d walked off a 2013 catwalk.
After the catwalk show, we took a walk around the boutique’s anniversary exhibition, which shared the history of the store with pictures from past and present brides, some of whom were at the event too, sharing happy memories and admiring the beautiful dresses currently in stock.
