You know a venue is the one when it ticks all your boxes: plush reception space? Check. A verdant garden backdrop to get those perfect wedding shots? Check. Six 18-month-old male Huacaya alpacas? Check.

Ardgowan Estate – a gorgeous 18th-century country house in Inverclyde – is now home to Latte, Cappuccino, Harris, Innes, Gabriel and Eclipse, all lovingly cared for by West Coast Alpacas. Fred and Chloe Wade (nee Matharu), directors of this new start up business, have recently leased a field at on the estate to enable them to establish their first herd.
