There must be something in the air, because Ayr’s Diane Honeyman has just joined the ranks of Scottish boutiques making room for a new bridesmaid brand in 2020. Say hello to True Bridesmaids, the store’s latest addition to its stellar line-up.

We’ve had a sneak peek, and are obsessed with Edith (above, £275): the pearl-beaded necklace trim is so on trend and highlights the unconventional collar, while the draped, chiffon skirt is such an easy, breezy feature.

And while your girls are going gaga over the gowns, there’s plenty for you to keep you happy on the jam-packed rails.

“We are loving our new bridesmaid collection from True Bride,” gushes Stephanie Sykes. “But we’re also going to be offering special discounts for brides on our trunk shows and designer days: we’re holding our first, an Essense of Australia event, on 15th February from 10am-5pm, and there will be a Stella York designer day later in the year on 30th May to look forward to.

“If you pop along to either, we’ll have a goodie bag and a glass of fizz waiting for you. Here’s to 2020!”

Eyes on the prize – the prize being Essense of Australia’s sleek style D3109, £1,999, above. The deep plunge is so sexy, while the more demure sweeping skirt brings a sense of romance. In other words? The best of both worlds. Snap it up quick.
