Glasgow boutique Eleganza Sposa was the place to be last night as the team unveiled their Spring/Summer 2014 special occasion collection: Eleganza Collezioni.

Head designer Helen Tatner and the in-house design team have created a strong collection of twelve stunning outfits, perfect not just for brides, mums and wedding guests, but a whole host of events where you need to dress to impress! Beautiful embellishments and dainty floral applique were in abundance and there was something for everyone colour-wise, whether you love a dainty pastel or an eye-catching lime green.
“We remain really customer-focused which I think is key,” Helen reveals. “I actually spend some of my time in the boutique taking appointments so I have a direct line to our clients and what they are looking for, as well as being influenced by the catwalk – especially Elie Saab and Dior.”

We caught up with managing director Anna Cirignaco who was delighted with the positive reaction from the enchanted audience: “It’s easy to make the models look good, but we really focused on creating a collection that all women look good in. Key pieces really have the different shapes in mind so there’s something for everyone.”

As well as getting a sneak peek at the new season’s gorgeous garments, Eleganza were also raising money to support Ayesha’s Appeal, a charity set up on behalf of 9 year-old Ayesha Siddiqui from Glasgow, who was diagnosed with a rare form of leukaemia in 2011. Ayesha’s mum Noreen has worked tirelessly to raise awareness and find a donor, raising over £170,000 for blood cancer charity. Antony Nolan in the process.
Eleganza Sposa’s design team worked with Ayesha to create her dream princess dress for the event, but it was announced on the night that the gorgeous blush and cream dress will be added to the boutique’s Piccola by Eleganza communion and flower girl collection. With a donation being made with each purchase of the Ayesha gown, Anna hopes to help the Appeal reach its target of £200,000.
“I was really moved when I first heard about Ayesha’s story,” explains Anna. “When I met her mum Noreen I felt obliged to try and do something to help them raise awareness and funds for Antony Nolan and Ayesha’s Appeal”
