Given the straight-out-of-a-storybook setting, it is hardly surprising that The Lodge on Loch Goil has clinched ‘Most Stylish Hotel’ in Scotland at the recent Scottish Style Awards. The venue boasts an 1864 private Victorian country house, a new restaurant, Leiper at The Lodge, a treehouse tucked away at the end of the lawn (big kids, we feel your excitement) and the Victorian Summerhouse, which houses a wood burning stove and a balcony, overlooking the sea loch. Magical.
